We are looking for key talent to join our growing **Wealth Advisor** team

**A typical day would involve**:

- Providing quality financial advice that enables members to achieve financial objectives while minimizing risk to the member and Vancity.
- Recommending investment products and services (including Socially Responsible Investing) suitable to the members' investment needs adhering to applicable regulatory standards.
- Building and maintaining a book of investment accounts by sourcing new business, building relationships with lines of business and within the branch, and developing relationships with existing members.
- Identifying member needs and recommending or referring appropriate financial products and services.
- Through collaboration with specialist in other lines of businesses, leveraging opportunities across to enhance member well-being through introduction to all financial channels.
- Providing ongoing technical expertise and coaching to branch staff regarding wealth management products and services.

**You Are**:

- **A Great Communicator** - You use your writing, speaking and interpersonal skills in acting as a resource for the specialized area, providing specialized advice, guidance, explanations, and related support; and also to participate development of program content.
- **Analytical** - to review information, detect anomalies, and investigate and resolve discrepancies.

**You Have**:

- Minimum 5 years of financial industry experience, including a minimum of 2 years as an IIROC licensed representative
- Valid IIROC license in good standing
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a portfolio of member relationships.
- Successful completion of a Financial Planning program and Certified Financial Planner designation (ie, CFP, PFP)
- Excellent Relationship Building Skills
- An extensive understanding of the financial services industry
- A specialized post-secondary diploma in Business Administration / general undergraduate degree
- Ability to build rapport with a wide variety of individuals, using strong communication skills, both written, verbal and presentation.
- Ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex investment solutions, the markets & the economy to a variety of audiences.
- Highly professional reputation and judgment with strong ethics and values.
- A team player who works well as a member of a group/team

**The Team**: The Wealth Advisor reports directly into the Regional Manager Wealth Solutions.

**Salary Band**:Competitive base salary + variable incentive
