Assist in selling and promoting GFL’s waste collection services by supporting the outside sales representatives and acting as a liaison between operations and sales.

With customer service and safety as our focus, we are looking for full time energetic and driven Sales Representative to support our line of business out of our Dartmouth NS, site.
Position Description
Reporting to the Sales and Retention Manager, the Sales Representative will be the point of contact for small to medium revenue prospective and existing customers. They will promote customer satisfaction by reinforcing product performance standards and benefits in a professional and agreeable style. The Sales Representative position will manage the day-to-day sales, manage the customer database through, and actively participate in lead generation for the sales team for follow up as well as prepare quotes. The role will work closely with the Operations team to ensure that customer demand and service are met.
Key Accountabilities
Exceed revenue and margin budgets within a defined customer base and market segment.
Develop new business opportunities by prospecting, networking, sales calls generation.
Identify and propose new solution-based services to key and targeted customers
Expand business opportunities and manage relationships with existing customers
Provide technical service knowledge and support to your customer base
Develop and execute annual sales plans that meets or exceeds revenue and margin targets
Monitor activity levels and revenues from customers to report on performance
Work with the Branch Managers and Technical Group to maximize utilization of each facility and equipment
Work with Sales Coordinators to identify issues and implement correction actions in order to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
Establishes and maintains customer relationships in order to identify possible future needs and maximizing opportunities through selling expanded services
Provides a high level of customer service both internally and externally
Responsible for responding to field customer inquiries for new services
Prepares quotations for customers
Works closely with the commercial team to support and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
Some travel required
Experience, Qualifications & Education
University or College education, preferable in Business or Science
1-3 years of outside sales representative/sales account representation experience preferred
Excellent time management and organization skills
Ability to build strong customer relationships and work with a team
Experience working with Microsoft office; (excel, word, power point)
Must be able to work under pressure with timelines
Must be able to adapt to changes
Class 5 Drivers License
Bilingual (English/French) would be considered an asset
Previous experience selling solution-based sales and services is required
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Superior interpersonal, presentation and communication skills are required
Ability to work independently and as part of a broader Sales Team
