Clinical Activities Specialist - Physical rehabilitation program

STATUS: Permanent full time (35 hours/week)
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Deputy director of Community Services

As soon as possible

FUNCTIONS:
Under the authority of the Deputy director of Community Services, the Clinical activities specialist’s role is one of clinical coordination and advisor for the physical rehabilitation team. This person contributes to the organization and the quality control of the physical rehabilitation services. Also, they will work to insure a continuum of care in multidisciplinary collaboration and to develop any clinical service related to physical rehabilitation.

His or her principal intervention areas are as follows:
Professional supervision and clinical support for the interveners;
The clinical coordination or physiotherapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy and audiology services (reception of requests, attributions, caseload management, community visits schedules, etc);
The quality of the care (personnel vocational training, IIP, medical records, etc)
The development and implementation of protocols and procedures, in accordance with standards of practices, aimed to improve the services offered to the population;
Support for standardizing practices and maintaining a continuum of services across all community services (service access, support for ICLSC, collaborating in waiting list management, etc.,);
Support to interveners in the management of inventories of medical equipment.

The clinical activities specialist works hand in hand with the head of physical rehabilitation as well as the clinical activities specialists of the Acting Early and Home Care programs in order to improve, harmonize and insure continuum of service for the 0-100 years clientele. This person also participates in different working committees. They perform any other related tasks.

**Qualifications**
Must hold a university degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy;
Must be an active member of his Professional Order;
Possess a minimum of 10 years of clinical experience in physical rehabilitation programs;
Minimum experience of one (1) year in clinical supervision in the Health and Social Network;
Knowledge of cultural reality in artic regions, a significant work experience in the north would be an asset;
Fluent in English and French (spoken and written); knowledge of Inuktitut would be an asset;
Leadership, autonomy, sense of organization;
Good analysis and synthesis capacities;
Being able to create and maintain positive interpersonal relationships;
Must be ready to travel inside the territory, if needed;
Capacity to adapt to a different culture and a demanding environment englobing multiple mandates;
Working knowledge of Outlook, Teams, One Note, Microsoft Word and Excel.

SALARY: Min: 947.80$ / Week Max: 1679.30$/ Week
