We are currently seeking an applicant to join our team and fill a full-time **Shipping Manager position at our Distribution Center** in Leamington, ON.

**Job Specific Duties**
- Managing, scheduling, and daily work prioritization of the Shipping team to maintain effective and efficient processes to ship all product and supplies required to by our customers and stakeholders.
- Using ERP/TMS/WMS to track, check, prioritize and route orders.
- Ensure trucks are loaded accurately using scanner guns in order to track, locate inventory and pull customer orders according to customer specs.
- Managing all export documents such as advanced shipping notice, pick slips, bills of landing.
- Direct the flow of picked orders from preparation to shipment.
- Evaluate carrier performance and resolving issues with orders and logistics.
- Assist in investigating misships, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure supervisors train and mentor receiving associates on proper policies, and procedures related to shipping.
- Continuously learn, coach, and deploy continuous improvement strategies and initiatives in order to improve processes and procedures.
- Creating weekly schedules. Monitor and make changes when needed for shift coverages, vacations, and leaves.
- Coach supervisors to ensure they are promoting and contributing to a safe, positive, motivated, and fair work environment.
- Conduct daily departmental meetings to address any issues or delays for daily shipments or any shipping concerns.
- Ensure Shipping area and coolers are kept clean and organized.
- Communication with Logistics, Commodity Managers, Procurement, and Sales when issues arise.
- Working with the team and other department managers to develop new procedures and implement them successfully. Collaborate with members to continuously improve day to day tasks.
- Troubleshoot problems encountered during the receiving process with the appropriate person or department and work towards corrective actions.
- Daily monitoring of time and attendance and prepare for payroll.
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for the Shipping department as needed.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and serviced. Monitor and adhere to budgets forklift, and pallet jack repairs.
- Assist and occasionally back up or fill in for any supervisors when needed to ensure daily work is completed. Fill in or cover for any position needed to ensure the success of the team.
- Report and participate in investigating labour and H&S related incidents alongside Human Resources. Complete incident/accident reports and/or progressive discipline as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the Health and Food Safety Departments to ensure all health and safety and food safety training is completed and supervisors ensure daily compliance to related policies and procedures.
- Assist HR in interviews for new team members.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Some supervisory experience working in warehouse or produce managing staff, operations, etc. is preferred.
- Management certificate or diploma considered an asset.
- Respectful, positive attitude, flexible, caring, accountable, approachable, honest, patient, dependable.
- Strong verbal, reading and written communication skills.
- Strong time management, delegation, planning, problem solving, follow-up and leadership skills are essential.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and attention to detail are essential.
- Committed to continuous learning as every day presents new information and exciting challenges.
- Must be available to work Monday through Saturday including holidays; flexible hours including weekends and extended hours if needed.
- A valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle are required as needed.
- Spanish considered an asset.

**Working Conditions**
- Fast paced warehouse environment where temperatures vary from cooler to temperature-controlled areas.
- Working with a wide array of people/cultures in a team setting. These include guest workers, locals, contractors, vendors, Management, Sales, Maintenance, Purchasing, HR, Compliance, IT etc.
- Works Monday-Saturday and holidays as needed, non-standard work hours. Flexibility with work schedule is required.
