**Summary**

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for all aspects regarding transportation, as well as shipping and fleet functions. The Logistics Coordinator shall also create and maintain all associated documentation in adherence to legislation and organizational policies and procedures.

**Job Duties**
- Develop and direct logistic processes and establish ongoing improvement plans for freight management, vendor routing, and carrier management.
- Develop, implement, and monitor performance metrics for transportation and shipping
- Create, monitor, and report on weekly and monthly logistics key performance indicators.
- Provide monthly updates on the status of projects and give progress reports on other process improvement initiatives.
- Conduct fleet management on company vehicles/ leased vehicles as necessary.
- Manage courier/carrier implementations and establish service level agreements to ensure services are delivered as promised.
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance in relation to the logistics budget.
- Regularly review performance expectations with leadership team.
- Organize staff training, development, and performance reviews.
- Deal with imports and exports shipped to and from the company; work with customs officials to ensure compliance.
- Communicate the organizations safety policies in accordance with applicable safety standards and legislation.

**Requirements**:

- 2 years of direct work experience in a logistics and/or transport function, or supply chain management required.
- 2 years of direct work experience in an operations or facility management capacity preferred.
- Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, inventory control, and transportation management.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in managing third-party logistics providers.
- Solid project management skills are essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good financial and business awareness.
- Familiar with enterprise-level SCM track-and-trace systems, as well as implementation experience.
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team.
- Strong quantitative and critical thinking skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Team player.
