**The Opportunity**:
***As a Collections Specialist within the Sandvine finance team, you will be responsible for providing integral support to the accounts receivable cycle, with a specific focus on the global collections process. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, you will own accountability in reducing AR delinquency in order to achieve corporate DSO objectives and quarterly cash collection targets. You will be the first point of contact for customer contacts when it comes to resolving billing and payment issues, and account discrepancies. You will also own all weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting pertaining to accounts receivable.**

***The Job**:

- Administer collection calls and correspondence in a fast paced and global oriented accounts receivable department
- Monitor and maintain difficult customer accounts, including escalation of the accounts to the internal account team
- Work with external customer contacts to effectively resolve payment discrepancies and short payments
- Ensure delinquency notices are issued and accounts restrictions are applied to customer accounts in a timely manner in accordance with company policy
- Verify and post account receivable journals, cash receipts, allowances for doubtful accounts, and other records
- Process credit notes, withholding tax certificates, and other account adjustments
- Perform monthly reconciliations of AR, GL and sub ledger accounts
- Prepare weekly AR summary reports for senior management and lead bi-weekly status update meetings with the Senior Manager, Finance and VP, Finance
- Contribute to weekly calls with regional sales leaders, with a focus on AR collection issues and resolution
- Complete quarterly AR reporting and DSO analysis for external stakeholders and the executive team
- Complete ad hoc customer and receivable analysis as required

**What Skills you bring**
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business
- 1+ years of relevant experience preferred, but not required
- SAP experience is a definite asset
- Strong work ethic and detail oriented, with a focus on quality
- Ability to take initiative and resolve issues
- Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership to meet tight quarterly deliverables and deadlines
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong computer skills, includes MS Office
- Organized
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced work environment
- Relationship building and management with both internal and external contacts
- Decision-making
