**Role**:
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work in an environment where you can put your logístical expertise to use? We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Alberta Wildfire Coordination Centre (AWCC) Logistics Supervisor.

As the AWCC Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing support to the Provincial Duty Officer managing a team of staff to coordinate and communicate with stakeholders. Other key responsibilities include training and supervising staff, maintaining procedures and ensuring process is followed,, and providing support to various Wildfire Management Committees. In addition, you will take an active role in testing wildfire specific software and submitting change requests to improve business support. Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential in developing networks and building collaborative environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Hiring, training and supporting staff in the AWCC.
- Manage staffing schedules, evaluating procedures, and conducting performance agreements.
- Processing resource requests from the 10 Fire Centers in Alberta along with national and international wildfire agencies to coordinate the movember of personnel and heavy equipment to support wildfire operations. Managing logístical needs, such as accommodations, meals, transportation, and processing the invoices for these needs.
- Using software such as FIRES, for the entry of information that supports provincial wildfire operations.
- Generating statistics on an ad-hoc basis and regularly scheduled basis.
- Compling meeting agendas and meeting minutes for Wildfire Management Committees.
- Working with the Employee Safety Office to ensure processes are in place for managing the 310-Fire line after hours.

**Qualifications**:
The minimum requirements for this role are a high school diploma and three (3) years of related experience.

Directly related education and or experience may be considered on a one-for-one basis.

Additional Requirements:

- A Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Contract and vendor management experience

Assets:

- Experience coordinating and supporting working groups or committees, such as a Wildfire Dispatcher Working Group or Logistics Working group, including records management.
- Demonstrated time-management and organizational skills for coordinating and managing tasks and action requests across multiple teams.
- Familiarity with wildfire management practices, procedures and or regulations.
- Experience working in HCM (Human Capital Management) software or tools, such as FIRES.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for data review and report compilation.
