- **Where You Come In**

We are looking for a **Manager, National Corporate Development **to join our team at Make-A-Wish Canada. We are looking for a driven, energetic, and creative person who will be responsible for securing corporate commitments to support the mission. They will focus in the areas of significant corporate cash and gifts, in-kind product/services, sponsorships, corporate events, and cause marketing campaigns to grow the National Corporate Development portfolio.
This role is based out of **Toronto **and is a **full-time, permanent, hybrid (2 days in-office per week) **position.
- **What You Will Do**
- Reporting to the Director, National Corporate Development, you will play an integral role in planning and implementing an impactful, growth-oriented corporate fundraising portfolio.
- Strategically manage a national corporate pipeline of $1,000,000 of existing and new business development, including cause marketing, sponsorship, employee engagement, in-kind donations, and corporate philanthropy.
- Contribute to closing and stewarding five to six figure sponsorship and cause marketing promotions in addition to corporate gifts.
- Collaborate and genuinely build relationships with regional development team members and other national foundation departments.
- Develop and write compelling funding proposals that are well-designed and meet brand guidelines.
- Work innovatively to design corporate partner activations that support a partner’s ability to communicate the importance of their partnership with Make-A-Wish Canada.
- Prepare and present pitches and proposals.
- Utilizes strong administrative and computer skills to complete all administrative and data management tasks associated with fundraising on a timely basis. This includes using Salesforce to input and track donor activities.
- **What You Bring**
- 5 years of related experience, ideally in the corporate philanthropy sector or sales/marketing field.
- Post-secondary education in a related field and/or equivalent work experience.
- Possess a hunter mentality with a proven track record in prospecting, cultivating, engaging and retaining corporate partners.
- Solid track record of working with corporate partners in securing gifts of 50K+.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a prospect pipeline while implementing strategies to reach and surpass revenue goals.
- Work well under pressure of tight deadlines and can manage a high-volume workload with multiple demands and changing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary for proposal writing, developing and delivering presentation skills and for managing daily interactions with staff and partners.
- Exhibit a strong degree of initiative, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Competency in the ability to manage through ambiguity and changing prioriti
