**Clinical Practice**

The primary responsibility of the Clinical Assistant is to use her/his/their theoretical knowledge and clinical expertise to provide holistic patient care in histories, pre consultation screening, and physical examination.
- Document patient history using Netcare access and previous treatment charts from patients.
- Prepare patient charts before all initial consultation appointments and follow-up consultation appointments. Offer excellent attention to detail while preparing patient charts for consultations by the Medical Director.
- Attend consultations as and when required and asked by the Medical Director.
- Attend exams and procedures as and when asked by the Medical Director.
- Have the overall responsibility for ensuring that all orders are followed correctly by the Medical Office Assistants, Patient Care Coordinators, and Nursing team, and offer continuity of care.
- Participate in appropriate committees and clinical meetings at Oasis Fertility Centre.
- Participate in clinical meetings discussing specific patient cases, Patient Review meetings discussing treatment outcomes, Administrative meetings discussing absolute patient numbers taking up procedures, and Multi-Disciplinary meetings discussing quarterly agenda for the operations, quality systems, human resources, and treatment outcomes.

**Quality Assurance**

The Clinical Assistant is responsible for Quality assurance of patientcare by using the standards, legislations, and regulations as a benchmark.
- Ensure completeness of patient consents, operating room package, operating room progress note by the Medical Director for every patient undergoing procedures (inclusive of but not limited to Egg Retrieval, IUI, Embryo Transfer, Cyst drainage, Follicle Reduction, PRP, Infusion) at Oasis Fertility Centre.
- Prepare for site visitation and accreditation by CPSA or Health Canada or any other licensing bodies that Oasis deems necessary to participate in.
- Liaise with other staff and follow standards of clinical practice as prescribed by the professional bodies: CPSA and Health Canada.
- Prepare data for submission to both the provincial and federal regulatory bodies or other licensing bodies in Canada.
- Ensure correctness of instructions sent to patients for procedures that are inclusive of but not limited to egg retrieval, IUI, embryo transfer, cyst drainage, and follicle reduction.

**Research**

Clinical Assistant may participate in research-related activities.
- Promote the dissemination of knowledge and support for research.
- Critically appraise research data and assist the Medical Director to implement findings that affect patient care.
- Identify and research questions through critical analysis and by using the scientific method.

**Qualifications**
- Canadian Medical Graduate (CMG) or An International Medical Graduate (IMGs) of a medical school located outside of Canada and the United States, listed in the Foundation of Advancement of International Medical Education and Research International Medical Directory
- In case of IMG: Completion of AHS Pre-Screening Process
- In case of IMG: Background in Gynecology is preferred
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills

**Salary**: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
