Annual Salary: $68,000-$71,000

This position will manage the children' s respite service, as well as providing support/ information to
families.

Ch ildr en ' s R espite
This role is responsible for assisting with matching families with the appropriate caregivers to provide
temporary relief to family members and the individual receiving services. You will:

- Recruit, screen, and hire individuals suited to being respite caregivers. This m ay include a home study.
- Provide ongoing support, advice to families, caregivers, and respite caregivers.
- Maintains contracts with respite caregivers in keeping with RSCL guidelines.
- Evaluates respite caregiver and family situations on an ongoing basis.
- Review contracts and any concerns which may ar ise in consultation with the director.
- Maintains proper financial record keeping for each family of money allotted and provide updates to the

funder (M CFD)

Fa m ily Su ppor t
The position is responsible for promoting community awareness and enhancing opportunities for
inclusion for children and adults with developmental disabilities. You will:

- Meet with families as appropriate to assist them with transition planning.
- Connect families with direct service providers, family networks, Ministry of Child and Fam ily Development,
- Community Living B C, and School District representatives who can provide collaborative support.- Support families at meetings as requested and with advocating for services.
- Organizing training, information sessions and maintain a database of resources.

R equ ir em en ts:

- Degree or Diploma in a Hum an Services field
- 2-5 years supervisory exper ience
- Experience working with children and adults with developmental disabilities.
- Driver’s License and access to vehicle
- First Aid/ Clear Crim inal Record Check
