**Supported Living and Home Share Manager (Full-time) - Richmond, BC**
In this newly created role this position will oversee a Supported Living Home and multiple Home Share
providers. This role will provide guidance to both Residential Care Workers and Home Share Providers,
while supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to contribute and participate fully in their
community.

**YOUR IMPACT**:

- Manage day-to-day operations including staff planning and monitoring expenses.
- Ensure high quality services that promote dignity and empower individuals to make informed
- decisions and communicate their needs.- Recruits individuals suited to be Home Share roommates and caregivers. This includes an in
- depth screening process, as well as a home study. Facilitates the involvement of the individual
and/or family in the selection and orientation process. As well the role will continually evaluates
caregiver situations formally and informally on an ongoing basis.
- Encourage individuals to build connections; to live self-determined lives in the community

surrounded by friends and family.
- Establish respectful relationships with the individual, their family members and support network,

providing progress reports as needed.
- Support individuals to direct their person-centred planning; to achieve goals based on their own

preferences, beliefs and desires.
- Contribute to annual budget planning and policy development as required.

**YOUR CAPABILITIES**:
with direct experience in managing residential programs for adults with developmental disabilities. In
addition you have:

- Relevant post-secondary education in social services, human resources, or a related field and/or

an appropriate combination of education and experience.
- Five to seven years of experience in the field, demonstrating progressive program

management accountability.
- Strong communication, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to build and effective team, manage personnel and performance issues in an effective

and progressive manner while maintaining sensitivity to people from diverse cultural, and
socio-economic backgrounds.
- Strong planning and program development skills and experience.
- Able to build effective working relationships with other professionals, family members, and
- organizations to ensure services are in the client’s best interest and supportive of their goals.- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, knowledge of Sharevision an asset.
