**Job description**

Pitchfork Market + Kitchen will be a completely new Retail Grocery Store(chain), with more A full Restaurant offering will be available for in store consumption, pick up and delivery.

Applicants must be Energetic, Determined and possess a Positive Approach and Drive to Succeed.

Your duties will include recruiting new employees, responding to customers concerns, and developing new menu options. You should have excellent communication skills with in-depth knowledge of several cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes.

You will also greet customers, answer questions, operate sales register, clean workstations and equipment, and perform other duties to ensure that customer needs are satisfied, and the Kitchen is operating smoothly.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand.
- Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls.
- Assist with the preparation and planning of meal designs.
- Ensure that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner.
- Monitor and record inventory, and if necessary, order new supplies.
- Provide support to junior kitchen employees with various tasks including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
- Recruit and train new kitchen employees to meet restaurant and kitchen standards.
- Assist with creating schedules for kitchen employees and evaluating their performance.
- Adhere to and implement sanitation regulations and safety regulations.
- Lead the kitchen team in the executive chef's absence.
- Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls.
- Retrieving, stocking, and maintaining proper merchandise from dry storage, freezer/cooler to preparation area, racks, shelves, and display cases.
- Processing waste; stocking, zoning, labeling, pricing, and organizing merchandise.
- Greeting customers, answering questions, making recommendations, accepting orders and payments, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Operating a sales register.
- Keeping records relating to deliveries, inventory, and production levels - including stockroom organizational and cleaning, as necessary.
- Taking client information and ensuring that deliveries are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
- Assisting Customers in finding merchandise in the store.
- Remaining knowledgeable regarding all areas of the store.
- Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates, including identifying and removing Kitchen merchandise that is distressed or unacceptable in appearance.
- Accurately and efficiently preparing Kitchen merchandise to cook, package, finish, and stock the department as well as for pickup and delivery.
- Maintaining the overall appearance of the Kitchen area, by keeping merchandise and display full
- while also being aware of the entire store’s overall quality of appearance, fullness and cleanliness.
- May need to perform tasks outside of Kitchen, to support the entire store team. we are one team

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Science or relevant field.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices.
- Good understanding of MS Office and restaurant software programs.
- Teamwork-oriented with outstanding leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Foodsafe Level 1
