Inventory Purchasing Analyst

Imperial Dade Canada, leading national distributor, has a job open in Montreal. The Inventory Purchasing Analyst - Acquisition will be the liaison between Imperial Dade Canada' (IDC) Management team, IDC Inventory Management and all IDC acquisitions not operating under the IDC ERP system, to optimize inventory purchasing. By working closely with all acquisitions, ensure all synergy projects get implemented and tracked.

**Responsibilities**:

- Identify common suppliers between IDC and acquisitions and between the different acquisitions.
- List current purchasing strategy of those common suppliers.
- Identify purchasing strategy not optimal and not meeting Inventory Management Key Performance Indicator (KPI).
- Establish plan of action to improve performance. Such plan of action may contain, but not limited to the following:

- Amalgamate purchases under an IDC warehouse or an acquired company.
- Transition purchases to a supplier with better costing and/or terms.
- Implement IDC Private brand (Victoria Bay) line of product.
- Etc
- Ensure best supplier terms identified are implemented:

- Costing, corporate program, payment terms, delivery incoterms,
- Ensure Imperial Dade Canada Private Brand products (Victoria Bay) are available and favored, and, where possible, alike products are transitioned to Victoria Bay products.
- Evaluate if we should use/implement Imperial Dade Canada Demand Planning Software for purchases made by acquired companies.
- The job will require around 10% travel to acquisitions.
- Other tasks assigned.

Qualifications:

- Critical mindset.
- Continuous Improvement expertise preferred.
- High level of analytical competencies.
- Power BI knowledge.
- Excellent knowledge of distribution and distribution purchasing strategy.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills required.
- French required for Montreal position, employee needs to be able to communicate with the head office, outside vendors, and suppliers etc.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in distribution, of which a minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience.
