StoreForce Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a full time Database Deployment Specialist. The Database Deployment Specialist will be responsible for work on new and existing client projects, design and develop database solutions, support development and services teams.

Our goal is to help Specialty Retailers around the world consistently deliver amazing customer experiences and empower their sales managers and associates to be the absolute best at their jobs. With your help, Specialty Retailers will continue to look to StoreForce as the single most powerful tool they can have to run their Store Operations and drive maximum profitability.

This role reports to the Deployment Manager and is based in our Toronto headquarters.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**

**1.** **Client Deployments - **Deliver quality implementations that meet client specific needs
- Prepare database scripts for client deployments
- Complete client specific configuration, triggers and jobs
- Setup DB maintenance plans and client specific index requirements
- Prepare DB schemas and deploy database changes to client sites

**2.** **Issues Resolution** - Demonstrate urgency in ensuring resolution of issues
- Provide support to the StoreForce client base; collaborate with development team to resolve issues
- Troubleshoot issues, document findings and resolution as required
- Participate in analysis of client requirements
- Complete database development and testing
- Manager DB security protocols to ensure protection of client data
- Prepare technical documentation and specifications

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE**
**Experience**
- 3+ years of work experience in DB support & administration
- Strong understanding of relational DB principles and best practises in design and architecture
- Experience with database and web technologies deployed in a tiered architecture an asset
- Experience in database replication, HA and DR an asset
- Experience in implementing, and troubleshooting scalable and highly available distributed systems
- Experience in database encryption an asset

**Knowledge**
- SQL Server 2016+
- Managed Instance & Azure SQL DB
- T-SQL
- DB tuning and performance optimization (DBA experience) knowledge an asset
- Microsoft Certification in SQL Server 2016 or higher an asset
- Azure certification (DP 900) an advantage
- Power Shell script building
- Azure DevOps knowledge an advantage
- Knowledge of.NET, specifically C# an asset
