The Corporate I+IT Solutions & Integration Management division is looking for a Data Integration Specialist with a track record delivering system and data interfacing strategies, standards and technology deployments. We are looking for someone who is business-focused and who has experience working with stakeholders in complex on-premise and on-cloud environments to define and realize business value through IT system and data integration.

**About Us**
The Health Services I&IT Cluster provides information management and information technology solutions that enable and support the business requirements of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Long-Term Care and its agents. The cluster supports the Ontario government's I&IT Strategy and plays a leadership role in major business transformation initiatives and infrastructure projects that are currently underway. The cluster is also working to promote the evolution towards a common IT infrastructure for government.

**What can I expect to do in this role?**: In this role, you will:

- provide expertise and strategic advice in the development of interface and ETL designs, data models, interoperability protocols and integration technology plans, with a focus on Business Intelligence and Business Analytics (BIBA) solutions;
- develop system use case/process models to enable BIBA solutions interoperability, data integrity and sound system integration testing;
- develop proposals for the data management component of ministry information management plans, providing guidelines and information architecture, while supporting operational requirements, data quality, business strategies and the development of data standards; and
- Hands-on development and delivery of data engineering/ETL solutions pertaining to BIBA solutions.

**How do I qualify?**:
**Technical Knowledge and Expertise**:

- You have experience working with business analysis methods, techniques and related tools to provide business analysis for clients in the Business Intelligence & Business Analytics domain.
- You have knowledge of data engineering and information management methodologies, data quality management, and related tools and techniques.
- You have experience in data warehousing concepts and practices.
- You have knowledge of data modeling techniques and tools (such as PowerDesigner) and solid understanding of various database design concepts (conceptual/logical/physical design, data types, data integrity, data dictionaries etc.).
- You have experience working with relational databases (such as Oracle) and programming/scripting languages (such as SQL, PL/SQL, Python, Linux shell) and APIs.
- You have experience processing (reading, transforming, storing, and retrieving) data in various formats (e.g. csv, xlsx, json, xml).

**Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills**:

- You can review and analyze data integration and standards issues/concerns/initiatives
- You can research and analyze data requirements such as integrity issues and develop recommendations
- You can analyze and develop proposals for data management component
- You can evaluate data architecture
- You can maximize capabilities of available technology integration and advise on acquisition of software

**Project Management Skills**:

- You have knowledge of project management and agile methodologies, procurement policies and practices.
- You can develop business strategies, business cases, cost-benefit analysis, and feasibility studies for business driven I&IT initiatives.

**Communication Skills**:

- You can prepare technical reports, briefing notes, presentations, issue reports on database management policies, and the acquisition of additional resources.
