The Bell Media team creates and delivers the best Canadian and international content across our digital media, television, radio, and out-of-home advertising platforms. We’re looking for innovative team players ready to take some of the most well-known entertainment brands in the country to the next level.
Working closely with both the Manager and the Senior Manager, Program Finance, this role will form part of a matrix team supporting key aspects of Bell Media’s content offerings.
**Areas of responsibility**:
- Supporting functions, including invoice verification and coding, as well as gathering backup for billings
- Month-end close
- Preparation of month-end and quarter-end deliverables
- Program accounting for CTV and CTV2
- Assistance with monthly forecast and annual budget
**Key functions**:
- Review and perform detailed verifications, and code invoices in APSS
- Complete month-end and quarterly accounting functions including journal entries, forecast updates in BPC, balance sheet reconciliations, programming and development payments tracking and forecasts, preparation of variance analysis, financial statement disclosure/audit requirements, program margin reports, and other tasks/ad-hoc projects as needed
- Assist in preparation of detailed forecasts and budgets
**Requirements**:
- Good understanding of accounting fundamentals needed
- Must be able to critically analyze and identify issues that require escalation
- Attention to detail and willingness to understand the nature of individual programs in detail are critical
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with constant changes
- Experience and expertise working with large Excel models is essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize effectively between competing demands on time, and escalate appropriately when needed
- Experience in broadcasting industry is helpful but not essential
**Timing and location**:
- Regular office hours: Monday to Friday between 9am to 5pm
- Minimum three days per week working physically in the office (Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
