**Position Summary**

The Manager of Finance/Deputy Treasurer is responsible for the operation of the
Financial Management Information reporting and analysis, and for the
management of revenues - taxes, water and accounts receivable.

**The City of Thorold invites you to submit your resume if you possess:
University bachelors degree

Completion of the Association of Municipal Tax Collectors’ (AMTCO) course

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in municipal finance.

Minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience.

A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA): Chartered Accountant (CA);
Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified General Accountant
(CGA) designation.

Knowledge and understanding of all City policies, procedures & Bylaws as
they relate to Finance

Excellent oral, written and communication skills and the ability to work in a
fast paced time sensitive environment

Excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers.

Superior skills in Microsoft Office suite of programs.

Familiarity with Diamond GP Municipal Systems, and FMW Budgeting
systems an asset.

Understanding of municipal finance.

Employee management and development

Dispute Resolution techniques

High energy, self motivated

**What the City can offer you**:
The City offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from **$99,482.00 to $115,163.00**
(35 hours per week).** **Additionally, the City provides comprehensive benefits
