As part of the ONxpress consortium, Alstom is proudly working to transform the collective mobility of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA) through the On-Corridor Works project, and we are hiring for hundreds of roles. The GO Expansion scope: new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more

**Objective**

Provide assistance to the Project Manager and project team, co-ordinating a number of tasks within the project to support the completion of planned works to budget, safely and within set timescales, whilst maintaining a high standard in all areas in accordance with Alstom Policies & Procedures.

**Responsibilites**
- Support the Project Manager on the status of planned project items.
- To ensure tasks are completed in line with Alstom standards and policies.
- Ensure tasks are completed to Alstom EHS procedures.
- Support the management of people, time, plant, materials, & sub-contractors in line with the Project Execution Plan and programme.
- Communicate programme requirements to staff.
- Draft written reports, e. g. accident investigation, periodic progress reports.
- Carry out Document Control activities as required to support the works.
- Assist in the management of internal interfaces with Testing, Design & Installation etc.
- Support the Project Manager with the input of Project risks in line the Alstom Risk Management System.
- Support Project Manager in interfacing and reporting with different consortium members
- It may be required that some travel and shift pattern changes will be necessary to fully perform some of your duties/activities.

**Performance Measurements**
- Ensure the Alstom Management Policy is adhered to.
- Report to the Project Team on the compliance with Alstom Standards & Policies.
- Demonstrate to the Project Team that all works are in compliance with Alstom EHS policies.
- Targeted deliverables taken from Project Management Plan and programme.
- Report to the Project Team the status with the project material program.
- Demonstrate the Project is being executed in line with the Alstom Project Management Policy documents.
- Support production of Work Pack Management and weekly progress reports
- Fully minute and document all meetings in line with Alstom Project Management procedure.

**Education**

**Skills**
- Understanding of the planning process
- High organisational skills
- Understanding of project management systems
- Strong IT skills in MS Office suite, along with excellent communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Commercial awareness

Desirable attributes may include:

- Leadership, people management
- Demonstrable skills & experience that would enhance the delivery of the project to high standard, safely and on time, within budget.
- Railway, engineering or construction experience
