Major Purpose

The Field Operations Assistant is accountable for providing administrative support to the Field Operations Manager, Superintendents, and all field staff.

Core Responsibilities
Co-ordinate and process job specific administrative tasks as required by the Field Operations Manager or his designate.
Prepare change orders / purchase orders/CPVs/Time Sheets along with correspondence.
Maintaining job project folders (hard copies & electronic files); including scanning of all projects documents (changes, quotations, change orders, meeting minutes) and archiving process upon completion of contracts.
Maintain logs of construction documents in Microsoft Excel and Procore
Solicitation of subcontractor pricing and contract documents, as directed by Field Operations Manager or his designate.
Assist the Health and Safety Representative with Coordination of safety training and compliance, inspections, and preparation of documentation for site safety talks and health and safety orientation for new site employees.
Arrange meetings, as required, including room preparation, set up and cleanup.
Assist in preparation of job bids, getting certificates of insurance, and assorted permits as required.
Assist with special projects, and other duties as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related discipline
Previous experience in the construction industry in an operational role is preferred.
Self-directed with excellent interpersonal skills and calm under pressure
Strong organization and communications skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines/turnaround times.

**Job Type & Duration**: Permanent, part-time

**Location**: Ottawa

**Work Schedule**: 37.5 hrs/week.

**Vacation**: 3 weeks
