Working Lead Hand Production

**Overview**

Reporting to immediate afternoon supervisor - the afternoon Shift Lead will be responsible for overseeing the daily afternoon operations of designated area.

**Primary Duties**
- Review and understand schedule
- Prioritize jobs and organize work on a daily basis
- Delegate workload
- Ensure compliance to work centre schedules
- Report and look after any problems, safety issues, near misses and document on appropriate forms in a timely manner
- Ensure operators are trained to meet all safety requirements
- Keep all areas clean and free of debris
- Instruct and train personnel on tools and / or machines while maintaining training records / matrix / LOTO / SWP's
- Assist supervisor in overseeing all work and work methods in area
- Contribute to continually improve workflow
- Ensure that a safe working environment is maintained at all times by staying compliant with Thermon standards, including but not limited to training of staff and improvements to workflow while following work centre schedules
- Ensure that all production related paperwork is monitored, controlled, and completed in a timely manner
- People interaction (20 - 30%). Example activities People Development, one on one coaching, walking throughout work area during assigned shift, conflict resolution among the team, group meetings & training
- Any other duties as assigned

**Education and Qualifications**
- High School or equivalent
- Minimum five years' experience in a manufacturing environment is required
- Minimum two years' experience as a Working Lead Hand required

**Success Factors**
- Computer skills - experience with MS Office Products - Excel and Word
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility in hours of work as necessary.
