Within the Consumer, Registry and Strategic Services Division of Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction, the Land Titles and Surveys Branch (LTS) ensures that the Minister's Mandate, Ministry strategic and business plan goals drive outcomes to ensure property rights are protected, programs and related services are modernized and registry services run efficiently.

**Role Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Manager, Operations & Outreach of the Land Titles and Surveys Branch, the Policy Analyst provides evidence-informed, strategic advice to management, internal and external stakeholders to assist them in supporting Land Titles and Surveys at all levels through modernization change and transition. The position develops, maintains and improves Organizational Change Management (OCM) methodologies, strategies, tools and templates, and develops presentations, communications & training materials.

The Policy Analyst will be responsible for:

- Assisting with strategic projects, ensuring program area, department executive leadership, minister, government, stakeholder, and public needs are addressed, including influencing necessary documentation such as Cabinet Reports, PowerPoint presentations, and speaking notes as required.
- Conducting policy analysis, including engaging with and challenging policy proposals as appropriate, put forward by registry representatives to ensure balanced and informed decisions are made for complex initiatives.
- Monitoring and reviewing legislation and regulations, and where appropriate, helps assist to develop proposals for changes to ensure their relevancy and currency.
- Assisting other areas of the Land Titles and Surveys branch in developing work plans to meet appropriate department timelines.
- Strengthening information sharing between decisions and other government ministries.

**Qualifications**:
University degree in related field plus 2 years progressively responsible related experience in policy analysis and development, project management, or similar or equivalent as described below.

**Equivalency**:
A two-year diploma in a related field (Business, Commerce etc.) plus at least four (4) years of related experience related experience is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:

- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
