Lambton Shores, Canada Simple Hosts Housekeeping Full time

**Working Hours**: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. On-call one week per month, Sunday to Saturday.

**Reporting to**: Director of Operations

**Overview**:
Simple Hosts is looking for a skilled Landscape/Maintenance Manager to join our team. We're seeking an individual with strong expertise in landscaping and general maintenance, who is also ready to embrace management responsibilities. The Landscape/Maintenance Manager will play a key role in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our properties.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Schedule Preventative Maintenance and Checkout Inspections: Plan and manage the routine maintenance schedule to ensure all properties are in top condition.

2. On-call Duties: Be available on-call one week a month to handle any landscape or maintenance emergencies.

3. New Listing Inspections and Reports: Conduct inspections of new listings and prepare detailed reports, focusing on landscape and maintenance aspects.

4. Assist with Marketing Ideas: Collaborate with marketing teams to increase business activities within landscaping and maintenance opportunities.

5. Manage a Staff of Up to 20 People: Lead and oversee a team of up to 20 staff, primarily working with other departments 4-5 landscape staff.

6. Cutting Grass and Other Landscaping Tasks: Perform regular landscaping tasks, including grass cutting, to maintain property appearance.

7. Equipment Repair and Maintenance: Utilize maintenance skills to repair and maintain landscaping equipment.

8. Snow Removal, Truck Plowing, and Shoveling: Manage and participate in snow removal activities as required.

9. Responsible for Overall Property Look and Functionality: Ensure that all properties are maintained to the highest standards of appearance and functionality.

10. Initial Property Setup: Oversee and participate in the initial setup of properties, including lawn care and maintenance.

11. Working Manager with Staff: Act as a working manager, closely collaborating with the landscaping team and other staff.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscaping, with general maintenance experience considered a strong asset.
- Demonstrated ability in leading and managing a team.
- Proficient in the use of landscaping and maintenance tools and equipment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Creative thinker with the ability to assist with marketing strategies.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate plowing trucks.
