**The Opportunity**:
Solvest is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our growing team Since Solvest began operations in 2015, we have taken on and completed larger and more complex and exciting projects as we push renewable energy in northern and remote regions. Solvest goal is to be the leading engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company for microgrids in northern Canada and Alaska, a company based in the North, for the North.

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager to support the development and execution of business strategies for large projects. The primary focus will be on relationship development with communities and Indigenous groups, managing company-wide marketing initiatives, and fostering B2B growth.

This position is based at our head office in beautiful Whitehorse, Yukon, the Wilderness City and one of Canada’s top adventures destinations.

**Employment Status**: Permanent Full Time - 40 hours per week

**Wage Range**: $32.00 - $42.00 per hour (based on experience) + annual profit-sharing bonus based on company performance.

**Leave Entitlement**: Three weeks of paid vacation to start (15 days) + 5 paid sick days per year.

**Job Description (high level summary - not inclusive of all duties)**:

- Create and maintain the annual Solvest Marketing Budget, tracking marketing spend weekly.
- Assist the CBDO in developing outbound marketing initiatives targeting clients, specifically Indigenous stakeholders, development corporations, and remote communities.
- Conduct market research to support business expansion into new areas.
- Support tender submissions with qualitative information.
- Develop and distribute an annual client survey for clients. Conduct an analysis of returned project surveys.
- Actively manage content on online channels to emphasize large project offerings and expertise.
- Ensure res/com sales team’s weekly assessment targets are achieved with timely marketing initiatives.
- Manage relationships with third-party contractors for brand recognition and content creation.

- Weekly: Update the HubSpot Dashboard for projects and submit required marketing metrics.
- Monthly: Maintain a marketing report detailing spend to date, initiatives, and their success.
- Identify and qualify for new project leads.

**Required Skills/Qualification**:

- Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, marketing, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy projects, particularly in remote and Indigenous communities.
- Excellent strategic planning and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot) and other marketing tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience managing budgets and third-party contractors.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience
- Criminal Record Check
