About the Job
Reporting to the Director, Long Term Care & Senior Services, the Administrator provides day-to-day operational leadership and oversight for the Long Term Care Facility including managing staff, financial matters, and overseeing the allocation of operational and capital resources and operations for all departments. The incumbent, in consultation with the Director, develops the facility business plan, capital, and operational budgets. The Administrator manages the operations of the facility according to the current legislation, regulations and requirements of all governing or oversight bodies, as well as the County's strategic plan. The Administrator maintains healthy employee and labour relations, and represents the County and the facility in community and family relations.
Salary & Benefits
Wage Range: $120,611 - $141,905 annually (2021 Rate).

**Requirements**:
- Certificate in Long Term Care Management from a recognized body, and post-secondary degree in Business or Health Studies.
- Four years of progressively responsible previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role in long term care
- Two years supervisory experience in a unionized environment
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating strategic and engagement-planning initiatives
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Experience with budget preparation and management
- Proven experience with resource management
- Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on mentoring and motivation of employees
- Experience with coaching and development of management-level employees
- Intuitive grasp of organizational structure in order to manage cross-departmental and cross-disciplinary resource allocation
- Ability to delegate, set expectations, and monitor progress of all direct reports
- Ability to identify issues and implement creative and strategic solutions to overcome problems.
- Ability to identify measures of performance and actions needed to improve or correct performance.
