**About You**

As a Freelance Writer for our team, you will have the unique opportunity to demonstrate and refine your writing skills across a broad spectrum of projects and topics. This role is designed to challenge and expand your capabilities by engaging you in various writing tasks, from crafting informative and engaging articles to ensuring that all content aligns with our brand voice and meets SEO best practices. You will be an integral part of our content creation process, contributing to the growth and visibility of our client’s online presence.

**Responsibilities**:

- Attend and contribute to company and project development meetings.
- Research, draft and write weekly Articles (approximately 500-2250 words each) on assigned topics from Total Life management.
- Revise and edit the Articles based on feedback from Total Life management.
- Ensure all content is well-researched, accurate, aligns with Total Life’s brand voice and values and includes internal and external links to assist SEO.
- Optimize and publish 2 articles per week on Mondays and Thursdays for Total Life’s WordPress site and use SEO best practices in ensuring that proper h1 tags are used, search engine descriptions/snippets are created, and schema is optimized for each article with the assistance of Total Life’s WordPress plugins.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Creative Writing, English, or Communications is preferred.
- Experience writing professionally (copywriter, journalist, technical writer, editor, etc.).
- Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Strong ability to follow instructions and revise content as directed.
- Strong attention to detail.

**Compensation**:

- **Base Pay**: $25 CAD per 500 words written (Articles will range from 500 to 2250 words each).
- **Incentive Bonus**: Earn an additional $100 to $400 per article based on publication of articles as contributor posts or standalone posts on relevant, high-traffic media outlets.
