- The Manager, Logistics Pricing is responsible for providing leadership along with managing the development and maintenance of transportation pricing initiatives. This includes the ongoing analysis of pricing and rating activities and the development of further enhancements. This role provides leadership & direction to a team that works closely with business development and customers to ensure that all pricing and rating requirements are achieved while in full compliance with department metrics, procedures and policies. The Manager, Logistics Pricing will work with all levels of the organization to ensure the maximization of sales and profitability while ensuring the pricing policy is followed. This role will be a change agent for process improvements. In collaboration with the department Director, they will work to ensure strong alignment of all revenue, pricing, rating and administrative activities with our values, purpose, strategy, and culture while continuously focused on improving the customer experience, employee engagement and profitability.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Execute pricing strategy for all Logistics services and monitor to ensure organization is achieving prescribed margin targets.
- Promotes and operates within the approved guideline framework of the corporate pricing strategy.
- Responsible for developing pricing for all incoming requests, RFP / RFQ bid requests and preparing final pricing proposals to internal and external customers.
- Ensures rigor and accuracy in all pricing analysis and proposals.
- Perform pricing functions including lane cost analysis using both internal and external tools.
- Review market trends to assist with lane level margin strategies.
- Further develop and enhance outside costing software programs.
- Works collaboratively with business development and operations teams to meet deadlines and provide accurate responses.
- Achieve compliance with all regulatory requirements, capacity development, optimizing costs, increasing revenues through pricing strategies improving profitability.
- Establish price for new services or enhancements to existing services. Provide performance analysis of pricing initiatives at the service and account level.
- Translates business opportunities and customer needs into collaborative pricing solutions.
- Manage the development and maintenance of the tariff rate structure, accessorial charges and FSC programs.
- Manage execution and implementation of annual General Rate Increase.
- Subject matter expert within TMS for all pricing and rating activities.
- Report pricing updates on an ongoing basis and recommend changes to senior leadership team as applicable.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators within the department.
- Perform financial analysis for specific customer opportunities that fall outside of established pricing policy.
- Provide leadership, coaching and performance management to direct reports.

**KEY REQUIREMENTS**
- 5-8 years required Transportation (ideally LTL) and pricing/financial/data/analytics experience
- 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience
- Post-secondary education in Business, Transportation, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Proven ability to direct a team working in a fast-paced transportation environment
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working with Transportation Management Software (ideally Truckmate) and Transportation Costing Software (ideally SMC3)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity
