**Responsibilities***:

- Pre‐ and post‐event cleaning, including waste removal, floor and surface cleaning and ensuring clients have removed all of their materials at appropriate times.
- Ensures a high standard of cleanliness in the public and event spaces of the buildings.
- Sweeps and mops/machine washes floors, stairs and elevators.
- Cleans and disinfects washrooms, kitchenettes, railings, counters, doors, walls, windows, mirrors, infrastructure and other common areas, select studio spaces.
- Removal of garbage and other waste materials and preparation of bins for pick‐up.
- Select grounds‐keeping and exterior garbage removal.
- Keeps a thorough written daily log of all shifts, product use, incidents and suggestions for improving the health, safety and cleanliness in and around the buildings.
- Maintains professional, cordial relationships with tenants and members of the public.

**Qualifications**:

- Secondary school education.
- Minimum six (6) months of experience cleaning office spaces and event venues.
- Working knowledge of ensuring a high standard of cleanliness in the office, public and event spaces of the building/s (Sweeping, Mopping, dusting, kitchen and restroom maintenance, garbage removal, stairs and elevators cleanliness, laundry, grounds-keeping, pre & post events cleaning, including light repairs).
- Experience in keeping a thorough written daily log of all shifts, product use, incidents and suggestions for improving the health, safety and cleanliness in and around the buildings.
- Ability to maintain professional, cordial relationships with tenants and public members.
- WHMIS and Workplace Safety Training is an asset
- Experience in the non‐profit sector, an interest in arts and culture, and a familiarity with Toronto's arts community are all considered assets
