Winnipeg, Canada Medicure Inc. Full time

**Job Summary**:
The Project Manager (PM) will assist in the management of manufacturing and research & development (R&D) projects towards ensuring a steady supply chain for Medicure’s commercial products, and the development of new drug products. This position will integrate with Medicure’s manufacturing, regulatory affairs and quality assurance departments. The position will oversee commercial drug manufacturing activities carried out by third parties and related logistics through communicating and negotiating with manufacturing vendors, and ensuring adherence to budgets, cGMPs and quality standards. The Project Manager will problem solve and using communication as their primary tool to meet Medicure’s goals. Medicure is developing a strong R&D pipeline, and this position would benefit from PM with a research background to inform and participate in R&D decisions.

This position is a full time position 100% in office.

**Responsibilities**:

- Participating in a cross-functional project team, managing day-to-day tasks for assigned projects.
- Creating and implementing project plans and overseeing their successful execution.
- Communicating, negotiating and maintaining timelines with third party vendors.
- Willing to act on Medicure’s behalf in a proactive and skilled approach with vendors.
- Proactively identifying, assessing and managing project risks and problems.
- Clearly communicating project status, issues and successes to senior management.
- Developing and managing project timelines and budgets.
- Managing technical, business, and contractual relationships with vendors.
- Proper handling of documentation and following SOPs.
- Performing other duties as assigned/required.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Science or higher or in a related discipline required.
- 1 or more years of experience managing projects is preferred.
- Research experience is preferred.
- Very strong interpersonal, written and phone skills.
- Very personable, but also an independent self-starter with the ability to work effectively both alone and with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of GMP guidelines an asset.
- Experience managing external vendors and/or CRO’s is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and SmartSheet is preferred
