Richmond, Canada Pacific Autism Family Network (JET Program) Full time

Little Pilots Inclusive Pre-School, in partnership with Pacific Autism Family Network, is hiring part-time Behavior Interventionist to work with our clients between ages 2.5 to 5. We provide meaningful social and learning experiences to all students regardless of background, experience, or ability.

The role will be based out of Pacific Autism Family Network Centre in Richmond, BC.

The shift is 3 days per week from 900am to 1130am (Weekdays only M-F) with an opportunity for on-call hours, and potentially increase in working hours.

**General Duties of position**:

- **Support children in the autism community during preschool class time.
- Work alongside other staff members in a team environment
- Always put the needs of the child first
- Work on transitions, follow routine of the day and encourage play
- Follow direction from Pre-School Manager
- Toileting responsibilities when necessary / as directed by parent
- Feeding responsibilities when necessary/ as directed by parent
- Follow up with preschool staff before each shift starts. Responsibilities may change on daily basis, based on child's needs.
- has previous experience in supporting children in the autism community
- is a team player with positive attitude, flexible, loving and fun
- willing to follow instructions and take initiatives
- has the physical ability to perform all duties required of this position
- has excellent and clear communication skills in English
- be legally entitled to and ready to work in Canada (open permit welcome)

**Other Pay and Perks**:
4% vacation pay (in lieu of paid vacation days) payable on gross earnings
