Retail Assistant Manager

Our main objective is to sell clothes and deliver an incredible NRML experience. In Retail Management, we are constantly looking for innovators, hands-on contributors and needle-movers who uphold retail excellence by delivering incredible customer service. We push ourselves to raise the bar higher. Within Retail Management, we are looking for a leader who not only has the ability to maximize sales today, but who also has the ability to build infrastructure for tomorrow and propel our brand.
**Practical/Sales Floor Duties**:
- Supporting the Store Manager as their reliable consistent assistant.
- Opening and closing the store, while completing corresponding morning/nightly duties. Preparing and documenting deposits. Accurately processing transactions, payments, credit/refunds as required.
- Sales Staff Management - Assist the management team in maintaining the sales team through recruiting, hiring, terminating, job posting, orientation and training.
- Maintains store job results by coaching, counseling and when necessary reprimanding employees. Responsible for planning, monitoring, performance reviews, video reviews, progress reviews and formal evaluations.
- Maintain a positive work environment, morale and healthy work balance for the sales team through communication, praise/reward and conflict resolution.
- Overseeing/Manage selling and customer service activities and staff competence to optimize sales, customer satisfaction and profitability. Maintain own sales goal, lead and role play selling techniques.
- Merchandise management - Assist management in supervision of receiving, merchandising and overstock.
- Basement management-3rd floor
- maintain organization and cleanliness of the basement and 3rd floor. Delegation of necessary tasks to ensure garbage and recycling are maintained.
- Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing a rapport with potential and actual customers. Manages customer inquiries and complaints.
- Maintains the integrity, stability and reputation of the store through personal actions.
- Fiscally responsible, understands how to maximize payroll, cutting hours to balance traffic flow and sales, and attempts to keep Payroll at a minimum when possible. Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential with the store manager.
- Committed to developing personal skills through reading and research both internally and externally.
- Executes in-store promotions by ensuring proper signage is in place, sales team is informed and merchandise is strategically placed.
- Seeks to continuously develop knowledge and information about competitor activity, pricing and tactics.
- Attends and contributes to monthly staff meetings in order to improve communication, staff productivity and company policies. Attends weekly management meetings.
**Analytics/Marketing Office Duties**:
- Achieves financial objectives by respecting an annual/monthly budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Research competitors/industry standards for budgets on payroll, marketing, supplies. Communicate with store manager and owners to ensure we have budgets implemented and use them as guidelines.
- Reviewing weekly and monthly sales reports sent by the store manager, analyzing performance of brands, commodities. Prepares coaching conversation sheets weekly for all staff members with sales progress updates, to be presented to staff during sales floor time by his/herself or other management members.
- Goals & Sales Projections: Tallying sales week to week, reporting store performance sales goals vs. actual.
- Suggesting promotions based on previous year’s sales activity. Preparing future growth chart targets and adjusting store operations to meet goals.
- Analyzing reports and restocking items in adherence to a predetermined schedule.
- Assist in daily auditing as requested
- Complete daily recap of tasks accomplished throughout the day
Availability must include: Evenings, weekends, and weekdays
Blackout Period: Aug 15 to Sept 15 back to school and Holiday Nov 15 to Dec 31
**Salary**: $38,000.00-$40,000.00 per year
