Alluriarniq Program Manager
Full Time, Term for 2-Years

It is the mission of Tungasuvvingat Inuit (TI) to broadly provide Inuit-specific programs that contribute to the health and wellbeing of Inuit and to encourage and support similar programs for Inuit across the country. With over 30 years of highly successful experience in crafting the design, development, and delivery of a wide range of effective, client-centered services, TI continues to deliver quality programs and services that directly benefit our growing urban Inuit population.
The Alluriarniq Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and delivery of the Alluriarniq Program at Tungasuvvingat Inuit, which focuses on providing culturally informed services for Inuit who are affected by trafficking, sexual exploitation, or related challenges. Reporting to the Director of Community Services, the Alluriarniq Manager ensures that program objectives align with the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic goals, delivering high-quality, culturally relevant services to support the well-being of the Inuit community.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of the Alluriarniq Program.
- Develop and implement program policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring they reflect both Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit principles and evidence-based approaches to care and support.
- Provide direct supervision, guidance, and mentorship to program staff, ensuring the team is equipped with the knowledge and resources needed to deliver high-quality services.
- Facilitate professional development opportunities and promote a trauma-informed, culturally safe working environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and offer ongoing support to staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team dynamic.
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of program reports, including funder reports, program evaluations, and data collection for outcome tracking.
- Monitor the program’s budget, ensuring that expenditures align with funding guidelines and program objectives.
- Collaborate with the Director of Community Services to ensure ongoing communication, accountability, and program progress.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, funders, and stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of the program and leverage additional resources.
- Represent Tungasuvvingat Inuit in external forums, working groups, and networks that focus on Indigenous, anti-trafficking, and social justice
**Qualifications**:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure or crisis situations, crisis intervention skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, active listening skills, conflict resolution skills, proficiency in proposal Writing, Fund Development, Data Collection and Reporting. Trauma-Informed Care - expertise in trauma-informed practices, strong relationship building skills.
The ability to inspire, lead, and motivate a team, competence in reporting, adapt to changing circumstances, oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Alluriarniq Program. Competence in managing multiple priorities, projects and initiatives, advocate for clients, approach challenges with creativity and resourcefulness.
Completion of community college is required and an undergraduate degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field is preferred. Two plus years’ experience in Anti-trafficking or Victim Services, Proposal and Report Writing and Collaboration with External Partners is required.
Three plus years’ experience in Indigenous and Inuit Communities, Leadership experience in Social Services, Crisis Management and Case Management is required.
