**Program Manager**

HelpAge Canada is seeking a dynamic Program Manager for our domestic programs. There are currently four domestic flagship program areas for HelpAge Canada that have us working closely with the Community Based Senior Serving (CBSS) sector. Reporting to and working closely with the Chief Operations Officer (COO), the Manager will drive implementation across all assigned programs.

The four flagship HelpAge Canada programs are:
**Digital Literacy**:providing low income seniors with access to devices and age friendly digital literacy.

**Seniors Can**:offering grants to seniors to access mobility and innovative social programming.

**Age Friendly Transportation**: an integrated pan-Canadian platform for age-friendly transportation.

**Canada HomeShare**:An intergenerational housing solution that aims to support aging in place for older adults while providing safe and affordable housing solutions for post-secondary students.

HelpAge Canada is moving towards a model that provides national support, coordination, thought leadership, and enables collaboration for CBSS organizations nationally. As such, the Manager will need to be able to coordinate and work effectively with many different stakeholders. They will work closely with other HAC team members to achieve this vision.

The Manager has the benefit of a hybrid work model, balancing work evenly at the HelpAge office and remotely from home.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Implement program plans to achieve desired outcomes, including managing the startup, overseeing the delivery and managing the closeout of programs.
- With the COO, set expectations, oversee, and ensure positive working relationships with program delivery and CBSS partners so that HelpAge Canada is delivering high quality programs and facilitating effective communities of practice within the flagship program areas.
- Manage program schedules and budgets.
- Develop program descriptions, reports, and any necessary program materials.
- Uphold program controls and problem solve when required throughout the delivery of the programs, escalating as necessary.
- Develop evaluation procedures and tools, and ensure evaluation is conducted for each program/project.
- Contribute to the HelpAge Canada strategic plan by building strong relationships with CBSS organizations across the country, identifying opportunities for collaboration, and supporting as requested in themed communities of practice that support CBSS partners.
- Ensure that funder reporting requirements are met for each program.
- Work collaboratively with the Communications Manage to ‘tell the story’ and capture the impact of programs.
- Contribute to responding to funding proposals.
- Contribute to partner and donor retention and development through professional conduct during program implementation and positive relationship building generally.
- Provide input into the strategic direction for HelpAge Canada’s national programs.
- Uphold program and organization policies and procedures.
- Facilitating communication, building relationships and supporting organizations to achieve shared objectives.

- Able to build relationships and facilitate successful collaboration with supporting organizations.

**Skills and Experience**
- Relevant undergraduate education.
- 3-5 years’ management experience.
- Relevant career experience, ideally in the non-profit sector overseeing program and/ or service delivery.
- Track record of achieving results within established timeframes.
- Proven project and budget management abilities.
- Strong knowledge and abilities to work effectively in MS Office and donor management software such as DonorPerfect.
- Background in issues related to Older Persons in Canada and globally considered an asset.
- General knowledge and experience of regional community-based program delivery desired.
- Knowledge of topics related to aging considered an asset.
- Background and knowledge of charitable sector legislation and policy considered an asset.
- Bilingual (French/English skills) strongly desired.
