**Your role**

Join our team as a Human Resources Business Partner.

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will join a team of HR professionals, dedicated to supporting the business toward our ambitious growth objectives while building on our values-based culture. The HRBP will provide trusted and valued partnership to their assigned client groups in areas such as organizational design,, performance management, benefits, onboarding, engagement, employee development planning. The HRBP will build effective working relationships with managers and employees across the assigned client groups.

**This position is a full time, 15-month contract with benefits for a maternity leave replacement.**

**Location**: Toronto, Ottawa, or Calgary

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide generalist HR support to assigned client groups in areas of workforce planning, employee relations, performance management and engagement.
- Support and provide guidance through annual salary review and bonus cycles.
- Participate in a variety of HR projects and collaborate closely with the HR and Talent Acquisition team on an ongoing basis.
- Provide coaching to employees and managers on a wide range of employee relations matters.

Qualifications:

- 3 - 5 years previous human resources generalist experience in a busy, fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Prior experience working in a consulting/engineering/construction environment an asset
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree (or equivalent amount of education and experience) in the Human Resources field
- Proven organizational abilities and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to work closely with others as part of a team, while being able to take full responsibility for assigned tasks
- Demonstrated ability to influence others and act in an advisory role
- Ability to act with a sense of urgency
- A willingness to learn and take initiative
- General knowledge of employment law and employment standards
- Some travel may be required
