We are seeking an energetic **Rail operation and Simulation Analyst Student** to join our Rail & Transit group for their Fall work term located in our Vancouver, British Columbia office.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supports rail network simulation by organizing infrastructure design and timetable data provided by stakeholders.
- Develops spreadsheets or software programs to accelerate/automate the review of simulation data.
- Assists in producing reports, presentations, and engineering documentations based on simulation results.
- Participates in a variety of rail network analyses, studies, simulation model development or optimization, and technical report generation addressing a wide range of operating, infrastructure and performance improvement.
- Participates in training on railway engineering components such as trackwork, signaling, rolling stock, timetabling, stabling, etc.
- Participates in discussions on railway designs and timetabling with internal and external stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:

- Currently enrolled in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering at an accredited University.
- Interested in computer programming and the ability to analyze and visualize large dataset are desirable.
- Interested in and motivated to learn railway timetabling and simulation software.
- Strong organization, interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under limited supervision.
- Self-motivated and have a strong interest in rail operation.
