Customer Care Specialist

- Open internal files according to valid procedures (contract review, JOC, WS, etc.)
- Upload all documents to the internal and external servers.
- Provide SGS affiliates with clear work instruction and ensuring personnel are fully aware of client’s instructions and expectations
- Ensure timely and accurate communication with clients w/ sending regular updates.
- Prepare verify reports, certificates and invoices to send to the customers
- Checking and verification of invoices received from SGS affiliates for accuracy prior to approval and final submission of invoices to the client.
- Assist the Manager in customer meetings and/or conference calls.
- Provide technical assistance to clients and SGS affiliates with regards to their specific shipments in consultation with supervisor/manager.
- Advise customers of any issues/concerns during load/discharge operations.
- Ensure accuracy of reports, data and information before sending these to clients.
- Maintain accuracy and security of clients’ data
- Accounts Payable processing for Minerals Trade Departments as required
- Assist with special or related projects in the department of laboratory.
**Qualifications**
- Experience: 5 years’ experience in operation / shipping
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or a General Educational Development equivalency (GED) is required.
- Post secondary education and an understanding of the Marine Shipping trade would be a strong asset
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, adhering to time sensitive deadlines.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Ability to work as part of a team, to take individual responsibility and to demonstrate leadership
- Able to be flexible and adaptable to changing demand and the ability to problem-solve
- Proven time management skills and a superior attention to detail.
- Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
- Extended hours and shift work may be required from time to time.
**Additional Information** Salary**:$22.50 - $24.50
