JLL is hiring an experienced Building Operator for one of it's Key clients, Class A office complex at the North American Centre. The Operator will be part of a team responsible for operational and technical support on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing facility equipment.
The Operator will participate in a rotating shift schedule (Monday-Friday) with shifts starting as early as 6am and ending as late as 10pm and must be available approximately one week/month for on-call coverage.
**What this job involves**:
Install, repair and maintain climate control and other mechanical systems within a building;
Oversee preventative maintenance and repairs of HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, lighting, electrical, elevating devices, roofing and life safety systems;
General maintenance including housekeeping such as sweeping, litter pick up, shoveling and pressure washing;
Assist with environmental assessments and reporting;
Participate in corporate occupational health and safety program;
Assist with waste, recycling and hazardous materials issues;
Monitor automated control systems;
Respond to tenant service requests and deliver best in class customer service;
Assist with insurance and risk management inspections, remedial actions and reporting;
Remain current and up to date with new industry practices, legislative changes and new technologies;
Embrace and proactively support JLL's culture of environmental and social responsibility;
Continually seek opportunities to improve energy consumption;
Quickly respond to and manage environmental hazards;
Consider sustainability when evaluating options when replacing equipment;
Participate in tenant and staff community support events;
Responsible to respond to after-hours issues when on-call;
Other duties as reasonably assigned.

Minimum 2 years experience as an operator in an office building environment.
Completion of the Building Environmental Systems Operator Certificate Class 1 & 2. is considered an asset or other Trade certifications.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both oral and written, with co-workers and the public
Must be available for Call-in work and be available to participate in the on-call rotation
