**Description**:
The Azrieli Brain Medicine Fellowship Program at the University of Toronto is designed to address complex brain disorders with an interdisciplinary lens. The program provides successful trainees with integrated, cross-disciplinary skills and the ability to approach clinical and research questions related to complex brain diseases.
The Sunnybrook Research Institute (SRI) and The Azrieli Brain Medicine Fellowship Program is seeking an experienced, energetic, and highly motivated individual to support an environment conducive to research. The individual will work with the Brain Medicine Team (including fellows, supervisors, and administrative staff) and will assist with all aspects of research studies within the Brain Medicine Clinic.

**Research Activities (70%)**
- Initiate, manage, and coordinate Research Ethics Board (REB) submissions
- Review and assess study-related literature
- Draft and review research protocols, consent forms, interview guides, and other study-related documents
- Coordinate data collection, management, and analysis (e.g., scheduling participant visits, data entry, obtaining informed consent)
- Manuscript write-up, journal submissions, and conference presentations (if applicable)
- Attend regular meetings to discuss study updates and problem-solve research challenges
**Administrative Activities (30%)**
- Maintenance of study documentation as per hospital policy and International Council for Harmonization of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH) Guideline for Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- Maintain up to date training and certifications including GCP, Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans - TCPS 2 (2022), and any other study-related required training
- Financial duties relating to research-related activities:
- Manages orders, invoice payments and reimbursement claims / petty cash requests / purchase requisitions, cost transfers
- Liaises with Sunnybrook Research Institute (SRI) Research Finance and Sunnybrook Foundation as necessary for activities such as new account setup, annual reporting, budget management, donations, etc.
**Qualifications/Special Skills include**:
- Bachelor’s degree in health services related discipline
- Minimum 2 years’ experience of recruiting participants into multiple studies and conducting study-required assessments in a clinical research setting
- Exceptional communication skills (e.g., verbal, written) and ability to comfortably present ideas to a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to maintain professional communication and healthy relationships with staff, research participants, and other key stakeholders
- Research skills including quantitative and qualitative data collection, chart review, neurological & psychological assessments, and familiarity with Quality Improvement Methodology are an asset
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and flexibility to adjust to changing work plans, schedules, and deadlines
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail
- Strong ability to exercise sound judgment, independence, and initiative to solve problems
