At Flora Pack, we are seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to join our growing team. We are a family-owned business that sources from a large variety of growers throughout the Niagara region that includes potted plants, dish gardens and cut flowers. We supply weekly and holiday crops to our valued American and Canadian customers. Our purpose is to enrich lives with the beauty of flowers and plants.

**Core responsibilities**:
As the Purchasing Coordinator, you will allocate and issue Purchase Orders to suppliers with the purpose of filling Sales Orders in our ordering system. You will maximize efficiencies by providing all details and documents to ensure seamless transition to the customer. You are a great fit for this position if you have excellent record keeping skills and a customer-focused attitude.
**Job Functions include but are not limited to the following**:
- Maintain communications with team members, and outside growers regarding product availability, shipping and/or pickup
- Compile, verify, and sort information according to priorities to prepare data to be entered
- Review pending orders to prepare purchase orders
- Print and distribute product labels for items being shipped
- Suggest process improvements for bettering processes and efficiencies.
- Strives for a common goal of high-quality and maintains a desire to constantly improve quality (aiming for excellence) while meeting sales targets.
- Ensure compliance of company policies, procedures relating to safety, employment, and labour standards
- Performs other duties as assigned

**Experience/ Education**
- Previous experience in a data entry/customer supporting liaison role is an asset
- Driven, results-oriented professional
**Mental/Physical Requirements**
- Cognitive abilities to utilize technology, problem solve, identify opportunities and work under pressure.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time while performing job responsibilities.
**Required Work Schedule**
Schedule will coincide with regular office hours M-F, 8-5. This role requires flexible and/or longer hours during busy periods to support business needs.

**Salary**: From $23.00 per hour
