Reporting to the Director of Human Resources the **Human Resources (HR) Generalist** supports and facilitates the key HR functions and processes at the Bank. This role works closely with the HR Director to support the development and enhancement of all HR programs. In addition to coordinating HR processes, this role will manage the Bank’s social media presence and provide support to the board of directors.

**Responsibilities**:

- Recruitment and Onboarding_
- Act as the recruitment lead for entry to mid-level positions.
- Prepare new hire paperwork and manage new employee onboarding including documentation.
- Participate in career fairs and tradeshows as a GBC ambassador.
- Administration_
- Administer benefit plans including dental, health, and retirement savings by reporting new enrollments, coverage changes and terminations. Act as the liaison between employees and the plan providers to respond to inquiries and educate staff on the plans.
- Support HR functions such as compensation, disability management, employee relations, performance management and terminations.
- Maintain and update the human resources management system including employee files.
- Process changes and requirements for payroll.
- Respond to employee requests and questions and manage the inquiry portal.
- Collect, analyze, and report data for HR activity.
- Manage HR department expenses.
- Support the HR team with presentations, process development and policy enforcement.
- Lead continuous improvement activities related to processes and functions.
- Perform other related duties including ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Board of Directors_
- Provide general corporate administration to support the board of directors.
- Implement governance best practices.
- Prepare consolidated reporting and analysis.
- Social Media and Employer Brand_
- Work with internal stakeholders on content creation for social channels including creating, editing, and publishing social media content.
- Work with the President and HR Director on employer brand and brand awareness focuses.
- Develop and maintain a social media calendar.

**What you Bring to the Table**:
The Human Resources Generalist will have strong communication skills, with the ability to provide others with clear, concise and accurate information. In addition to:

- Post-secondary education in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- At least two years of related experience is required.
- Experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or social media management is an asset.
- Payroll experience is an asset.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and related computer and/or technology software.
- A satisfactory background check is required. Ability to keep important business information confidential.
- Respects diverse thoughts, views and approaches and fosters cooperation and collaboration with others through trust-building and relationships.
- Sets and/or negotiates priorities and accomplishes activities or processes within timelines.
- Adapts approaches to meet diverse needs, styles and backgrounds; encourages others to do the same.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$81,000.00 per year
