Full Time Temporary Maintenance Facility Worker

Canada Summer Job Placement

Evergreen Catholic Separate School Division is currently seeking a Full Time Temporary Maintenance Facility Worker in Spruce Grove, AB. The placement will commence May 1, 2024 and end August 31, 2024. Rate of pay is $18.50 per hour.

This will be a great opportunity to learn in an applicable work environment and be supervised and guided closely as you learn the tasks required to eventually work independently on projects throughout the summer.

**Responsibilities**:
Perform general maintenance tasks, such as painting, cleaning, and repairing

Maintain indoor facilities and equipment

Ensure the safety and cleanliness of school facilities

Assist with scheduling and coordinating appointments and meetings

Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:
High school students are preferred

Full-time availability during the summer months is preferred

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Experience in a similar role is an asset

**Canada Summer Jobs Program Objectives**:
The Full Time Temporary Maintenance Facility Worker position at Evergreen Catholic Separate School Division aligns with the objectives of the Canada Summer Jobs program. The program aims to provide quality work experience for youth, respond to national and local priorities to improve access to the labour market for youth who face unique barriers, and provide opportunities for youth to develop and improve their skills. The program provides wage subsidies to employers from not-for-profit organizations and the public sector, as well as private sector organizations with 50 or fewer full-time employees, to create quality summer work experiences for young people aged 15 to 30 years.
