**Position Overview**:
If you are currently enrolled in the NAIT Water and Wastewater Program and need hours to complete the co-op requirements, this opportunity will provide you with a wide breadth of experience in the operation and maintenance of the programs and services in the City of Spruce Grove's Distribution and Wastewater collection system.

This position is temporary Full Time (40 hours per week) - April 30, 2024 to August 30, 2024.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate, inspect and minor maintenance of vehicles, equipment and hand tools.
- Ongoing daily expectation to ensure vehicle equipment and tools are ready for use.
- Complete training as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- A valid Class 5 driver’s license, current abstract will be required as a condition of employment.
- Must be currently enrolled in Water and Wastewater Technician Certification program at NAIT.
- Physical strength and agility sufficient to perform the work of this position.
- Knowledge or ability in the operation of computers and business software.
- Basic understanding of reservoirs, clear wells, and pumping stations, pumps, meters, pressures, valves, fire hydrants and various other water system appurtenances.
- Ability to respond to inquiries and complaints in a manner that is sensitive to the needs of the public.
