Buckland is looking for a Junior Infrastructure Analyst
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Manager, IT Infrastructure, this position is responsible for the smooth operation of Buckland’s IT Infrastructure. This includes design, implementation, analysis, research, and problem solving of Infrastructure systems.

You will be responsible for
- Closely follow all internal security policies as they relate to Infrastructure and resource access.
- Follow best practices to produce industry standard documentation, project plans, status reports, training material, as required.
- Assist with design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of all IT Infrastructure with possible specialization.
- Ensure change management processes for software and hardware upgrades are followed and improved upon iteratively.
- Producing industry standard documentation, project plans and status reports.
- Research new technology and undergo technical training.
- Assist to the create policies, standards, and procedures.
- Interact with third-party and vendor support representatives to resolve technical issues.
- Identify existing or impending Infrastructure technical problems. Relate these concerns to senior staff and provide mitigation recommendations.
- Identify and recommend changes that improve the stability and reduce the risk from cyber security attacks and other inherent risks that occur with poor configurations or incomplete patching of software and hardware systems
- Work with Information Security staff to ensure security policies are implemented and maintained.
- Participate in investigations into problematic activity.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency gains through automation and provide recommendations.
- Provide direct support to end-user personnel, as required for escalated items.
- Perform other related duties as required.

What we need from you
- Successfully completion (or current enrollment) of two
- or three-year Computer Science Degree/Diploma or related technical courses (with CO-OP preferred).
- Direct or indirect experience with the following technologies:

- Server/Application Virtualization (VMWare ESXi, MS Azure, Containerization)
- Infrastructure Servers and Applications.
- Microsoft Exchange (on-prem, online)
- Windows Server (2012-2019)
- Active Directory, Group Policy
- IIS, SQL Server, SMB File Share
- Windows Security
- Network routing and switching (Cisco/Dell).
- Network Firewall (Palo Alto Networks).
- Network standards and protocols (TCP/IP, SSH, SSL/TLS, RADIUS, 802.1x, IPSEC, Wireless)
- Microsoft 365 and Azure Services experience is an asset.
- Ability work in a Full-time environment
- Be able to work a standard day time shift
- Comfortable to work in a (Remote/In Office/Hybrid) environment
- Adopt a continuing education philosophy

What skills & experience you’ll bring to us
- Experience with Information Security principles and standards is an asset (ISO270001, NIST, PCI), Least Privilege, Zero Trust).
- Experience in any of the following areas would also be an asset.

a. Customs brokerage, importing/exporting.
b. Logistics
c. Supply Chain Systems
- Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Desire to collaborate, develop and grow professionally and personally.
- Valid Passport and ability and desire to occasionally travel to Canada.
