The **Command Center Trainer** ensures that the teams are full of dedicated, fully trained station personnel to ensure the safety of our clients and the smooth transition of operators reaching their capability of monitoring our sites with good judgement and mind. The Trainer will also be responsible for keeping our current standard operating procedures up to date and creating new ones when required.

We are excited about our growth and we are continuing on a strong trajectory, which has resulted in our need for additional support in the Command Center. This team member will work closely with our Command Center Manager, Lead Investigator, Supervisors, and the operators within the Command Center.

This role must have a sense of critical thinking skills allowing them to ask why, how, what and when. They must be able to try and look at all aspects and dig deep to figure out what other information would be relevant to the situation. They must present patience and empathy in training skills as not everyone learns along the same pace.

**Core Tasks**:

- Training new Command Center Operators one on one to gain knowledge of operations
- Updating station procedures when required with the guidance of the Command Center Manager
- Gain full knowledge of software and equipment and can troubleshoot when required
- Keeping good relationships with managers, supervisors, Installation and Service Coordinators, and Command Center on dayshift/night shift
- Assist in increasing morale and keeping spirits up with your team members - always ‘Leading by Example’ when it comes to the DNA
- Supporting any administrative tasks that can free up the Command Center to focus on alarms when not training
- Assist with updating command center standard operating procedures (SOP) and developing training materials
- Provide insight with three-month probation review for new employees
- Assist Command Center operations by handing alarms when required
- Train new operators on overnight shifts when required
- Travel to Calgary Command Center for training when required
- Other responsibilities as required

**Expectation**: This is a full time position working in the Command Center. Hours will vary depending on training and flexibility. Availability for travel, for conferences and/or supporting training in our Calgary Command Center when needed.

**Compensation**: this role has an hourly rate of between $25-30/hour, depending on experience
- Has demonstrated leadership experience and/or leadership training (i.e. Supervisor, Trainer, Troubleshooter, or other roles with demonstrated leadership abilities)
- Has at least 1 year of experience in a Command Center
- Knowledge and experience working with Manitou, Immix, Zendesk, Sedona, Avigilon, VCA, Hikvision, Videofied, NVR, DVR, and IVMS
- Passion to ‘Lead by Example’ each and every day
- Passion to ‘Deliver Legendary Service’ to our external clients and actively lives this through high level of attention and care when supporting our customer needs
- Demonstrated experience and problem solving and driving solutions
- Strong verbal & written communication and comfortable with report writing (able to be articulate and concise)
- Keen eye for detail and desire to be meticulous in everything they do
- An innate desire to get to the bottom of a problem, find answers, and propose solutions
