**What you will do in this role**:

- Plan, support, implement and evaluate health promotion programs, policies and strategies
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external partners
- Facilitate community mobilization and/or strengthen community capacity to take action to address health issues
- Interpret and analyze information and population health data to identify implications and gaps, and provide program related recommendations
- Conduct community needs assessments, environmental scans and situational assessments
- Communicate effectively with internal and external individuals, groups, and partners through presentations, reports, and briefing notes.
- Contribute to written and visual communication products for mass and digital media
- Ensure issues of diversity, ethnicity, language and culture are reflected in health promotion planning and programs

**What the role requires**:

- University degree in a relevant health-related field
- Minimum 1-year related experience in program planning, implementation and evaluation
- Previous experience in Public Health is considered an asset
- Background and understanding of research methods, program planning and implementation, analysis and critical appraisal including awareness of evidence informed decision making
- Knowledge of public health sciences including population health, social determinants of health, epidemiology and health equity
- Knowledge and demonstrated expertise in using key theoretical models of health promotion
- Knowledge and working experience on substance use or harm reduction is considered an asset
- Vaping-related work experience is considered an asset
- Excellent computer skills utilizing MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams)

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated facilitation, partnership/collaboration, project management, planning, problem-solving and organizational skills
