Purchasing & Operational Specialist

We are looking for highly qualified warehouse coordinators to monitor and control warehouse inventory by overseeing, directing and coordinating the movement of supplies, products and merchandise in and out of the warehouse.
**Main Job Duties and Responsibilities**
- Coordinate incoming purchase orders for inventory.
- Communicate with vendors for all matters concerning quotations, ongoing business, and new purchase orders.
- Actively procure new components, seeking out new vendors as needed.
- Optimize purchase orders to bring in components meeting the best balance of price, quality and lead time.
- Process incoming warranty claims including replacement components, return of defective components, and return of fixtures for repair.
- Check stock and allocations for all incoming warranty requests. Act on appropriate substitute components in cases where obsolete parts are required to resolve.
- Work with accounting department to maintain accurate fiscal reports on inventory value.
- Verify purchased components meet the requirements and are included in work orders generated by company bills of material.
- Allocate and organize storage locations according to requirements.
- Update and maintain inventory database.
- Track and manage inventory by completing regular cycle counts.
- Identify potential inventory shortages and communicate with relevant department(s).
- Coordinate the purchase of new inventory.
- Provide regular inventory reports to management.
- Resolve any discrepancies between paperwork and inventory received.
- Process product returns, claims, and keep track of warranty products to vendors.
- Adhere to all safety standards and operating procedures.
- Ensure strict adherence to all housekeeping and warehouse standards.
- Communicate with production team members and leadership on outstanding component lead times and any ensuing effects on production time line.
- Assist leadership with follow up on assigned orders. Troubleshoot problems on the floor and bring attention to any difficult to resolve issues.
- Keep costing of purchased and fabricated parts accurate in the company ERP system.
- Manage communication with sales department on the effect of component lead times on scheduled orders. Vigilantly maintaining a stream of communication on the production schedule.
- Report time tracking on orders and sub-assemblies to help refine labour costing.
**Education and Experience**
- High school diploma
- Inventory control experience is considered an asset
- Knowledge of manufacturing industry is considered an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
