Position Overview

As a Data Capture intern you will be part of an investigation into the Industrialization of Construction, and help develop and capture novel datasets for construction-related activities. You will be based in our Toronto office where you'll have access to our Technology Center and be mentored by a Principal Research Scientist.

You Will:

- Support construction automation efforts by developing datasets and schemas for construction and assembly processes
- Develop and test prototype solutions for data capture in on-site or off-site construction
- Demonstrate data-driven automation or prediction capabilities using robotics or AI/ML
- Create code repositories, compelling visuals, and documentation of prototypes
- Present the results of your research internally at the end of the internship

You Have:

- Active enrollment in a Masters or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Computational Design, Construction Technology, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in gathering, sourcing, connecting, and interpreting different data
- Proficiency in Python
