They also contribute to College, Faculty, and program excellence by collaborating on a variety of initiatives such as new program development, applied research and alternative delivery strategies. Within this context of inspiring innovation and excellence, the Pilon School of Business is currently seeking a part-time Professors for the Professional Accounting Post-graduate program.
Sheridan seeks part-time professors to teach in the following courses within Professional Accounting:
[ACCG53329 - Taxation]
[ACCG52688 - Audit & Assurance]
[ACCG58114 - Management Accounting]
[FINA54978 - Corporate Finance]
[ACCG54899 - Consolidations & Advanced Financial Reporting]
Sheridan professors are responsible for developing an effective learning environment for students while respecting their diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences, and individual learning styles.
What You’ll be Doing
Delivering course curriculum in classroom and online, which includes ensuring student awareness of course objectives, approaches and evaluation techniques;
Evaluating student progress/achievement and assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the students’ work within assigned courses;
Developing individualized instruction and multi-media presentations, incorporating technology into the learning process where applicable in accordance with the course learning outcomes and curriculum provided;
Attending periodic faculty meetings.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field of study;
Three to five years’ relevant professional experience preferred;
Practical experience using current technology and software for related field in the past 3 years
Experience in teaching and curriculum development at the post-secondary level or equivalent experience as a trainer in industry is preferred
Network of contacts with other professionals in the Accounting field
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Committed to excellence in teaching and learning and to working within a team environment.
CPA preferred
