**P**O**S**I**T**IO**N SUMMARY**:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for performing selected accounting related activities at Lowe-Martin**_. _**This position is a hybrid role working from home and in the office.**_ _**Specifically, he/she is primarily responsible for the following:

- Processing of daily cash receipts/deposits
- Processing customer credit card payments
- Send out Deposit & Sales report daily
- Confirming bank & trade references for new customers
- Activating new accounts once approved by the Senior Manager
- Daily review of outstanding customer balances
- Resolve collections by examining customer payment plan, payment history and line of credit
- Posting any adjustments needed to customer accounts
- Responding to, and resolving customer inquiries
- Organizing and filing credit and other pertinent customer information
- Assisting with the uploading of invoices to various customer platforms
- Assisting with the processing of Digital Store Front invoices
- Preparing ad-hoc reports for management; and
- Other accounting/administrative duties

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Previous Accounting experience and/or education
- Customer Service experience is an asset
- Recent experience in Credit and Collections is an asset

**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:

- Able to multi-task and work well under pressure and/or within tight deadlines
- Able to work well with limited supervision
- Attention to detail and accuracy, good organizational skills and the ability to “follow-up” is required
- Organized, strong work ethic, excellent attendance, prompt and punctual
- Flexible and cooperative, understanding of the time-sensitive nature & demands of Accounting
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Bilingualism (English/French, verbal and written) would be an asset
- Must hold or be eligible to attain Government security screening to secret level

**KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION**:

- Knowledge of accounting software is an asset
- General knowledge of accounting & administration practices and procedures
- Completion of secondary school, college diploma is an asset
