**The Opportunity**:
As Canada’s leading environmental consulting firm, our team has expertise in environmental and socio-economic impact assessments, planning, permitting, construction monitoring, and stakeholder and Indigenous engagement.

For this position you will be working with the Ontario Environmental Planning and Approvals Group to support all phases of EIA projects, from project / proposal preparation, project openings, data analysis, supporting public/stakeholder and Indigenous engagement/consultation activities, and report preparation.

As a Co-op Student, you are expected to have strong communication, teamwork and organizational skills. Additionally, you are expected to be proficient with Microsoft Office software and experience with data tracking is an advantage.

**A day in the life**:

- You will assist with the environmental planning for multi-disciplinary transportation and/or energy and resources projects, including environmental impact assessments and related studies
- You will draft project deliverables, including environmental assessments and technical documents that support regulatory approvals
- You will assist with consultation with regulators and clients, and assist with innovative programs that engage Indigenous communities and project stakeholders
- You will primarily be home/office-based but will travel for short-duration trips and events as required;
- Other duties as assigned.

- Working towards a degree in Planning, Environmental Science, or other related disciplines;
- Logical thinking and ability to bring practical solutions to challenges;
- Able to adapt to changing duties as required;
- Attention to detail in the completion of project-critical documentation;
- Strong organization skills and ability to follow schedules;
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team environment;
- Excellent English communication skills; and,
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
