**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage all finance and accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, etc.
- Ensure current financial team has the skills to perform their duties and efficient protocols are in place.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Update policies and keep it current
- Enhance access and reporting for financial data by ensuring effectiveness of accounting operations and flow of financial information
- Coordinate and direct preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Provide reports to CFO (Such as Cash Flow Forecast, AR and AP review, Quarterly Sales Analysis, Monthly expenses, Sales by revenue stream, Cost analysis, etc.)
- Preparation of regulatory reporting, researching and managing technical accounting issues to ensure compliance
- Responsible for month-end, quarter end and year-end close process including annual review and audit
- Banking access, records and reconciliation
- Manage capital lease schedules and records. Communicate with leasing companies and responsible for buy out option notifications.
- Prepare HST filing by screening accounts and transactions and finalizing the numbers.
- Submits Payroll and HST remittances via electronic tax-filing system
- Keeps GL in order, reconciles accounts to make sure it matches actual balances (payroll liabilities, HST, loans, leases), etc.
- Managing multiple GL’s
- Additional controller duties as necessary

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Advanced degree in Accounting
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Proficient with Quick Books Online as a user and administrator
- Experience with payroll administration
- Excellent Microsoft Excel Suite Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills
- Ability to implement process and standards within a group setting
- Ability and experience to coach and guide existing employees as well as recruit and on-board additional / new team members

**Additional Beneficial Skills**
- Knowledge of ESA and implementation
- Prior experience with unionized work environment, managing union dies reporting, management of benefits, etc.

Pay: $100,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
